Gold trinity with 3 equilaterial triangles
Another Trinity – this time interlocking two designs together. It’s interesting that I should start with an equilateral triangle as my first sacred geometry work with angles of 60 degrees now have naturally progressed to a trinity which deals with 120 degrees
Exploring more complex sacred geometry now. This image seems to be associated most with the trinity it is widely used in religious art.
I’m amazed at how much in contained within this icon…the vesica piscis, the 3 fold celtic knot and equilateral triangle.
Another work using the equilateral triangle again the negative space shows the fractal nature of the shape.
Was looking up simple geometry for the equilateral triangle and came across it enclosed in circles. This has got to be a personal favourite of mine, so much balance in one simple design.
I can actually see how I could build a lot of shapes from this one design. The way the angles intersect and the negative space in this geometry could be used as a positive shape to create something totally new.
This design also encapsulates one of the principals of sacred geometry that I really love as a designer. That is that you must balance you straight edges to curved and also positive and negative shapes
